Seattle loses yet another piece of its past, in favor of the newer, shinier Seattle. The Alki Tavern, with one of the greatest views of the Seattle skyline from West Seattle, closes tonight after 37 years. Like the Buckaroo, it was a seedy little dive frequented by Harleys and the fine folks that ride them. The walls and ceiling are covered in flags, photos and layers of beautiful, beautiful grime.
